The House of Paws difference

Your dog becomes part of the crew.

House of Paws is intentionally small. We do not try to be a big facility with a revolving door of unfamiliar dogs. The dogs here are regulars, and we know their personalities, routines, friendships, and little quirks.

New dogs are introduced thoughtfully. It typically takes a few weeks for a real relationship and rhythm to form—and that is exactly the point.

See how introductions work →
01

Freedom, with judgment

Dogs are free to relax, play, and sleep where they are comfortable. Kenneling is only used when requested or genuinely needed.

02

Clean is a daily habit

Outdoor areas are deodorized and sanitized at least twice daily. Water is refreshed constantly, and interior floors are cleaned throughout the day.

03

Social care is personal

We watch the pack—not just the clock. That means redirecting behavior early, honoring rest time, and keeping every dog’s experience safe and fun.

More than a way to pass the day

A happier dog starts with a fuller day.

Is your dog bored, restless, lonely, or getting into trouble while you work?

For the right dog, a regular Play Date is a healthy outlet: supervised activity, mental stimulation, positive social time, and a steady routine with familiar people and dogs.

Here, they are not dropped into a chaotic room of strangers. They get to know a close-knit crew, practice settling around friends, and come home fulfilled—not just exhausted.

01

A healthy outlet

Movement, play, and fresh air give indoor energy somewhere good to go.

02

Better social comfort

Thoughtful time with compatible dogs can build confidence and ease around friends.

03

More to think about

New smells, routines, play, and connection make a dog's day feel fuller.

04

A steadier rhythm

Activity, rest, structure, and connection—all in one familiar place.

The goal is simple: the right dog, with the right crew, in a safe home where they can be social, active, relaxed, and genuinely happy. Every new pup starts with a Meet & Greet so we can make sure it feels right for everyone.

Door-to-door, when it works for the pack

K-9 Convoy Service

K-9 Convoy routes run morning and afternoon, Monday through Thursday. Included at no additional charge for Play Date and Sleepover guests in Downtown Fort Myers and along the McGregor corridor—generally within 10–15 minutes of House of Paws.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Convoy service runs on a limited schedule. There may be one pickup or drop-off route—or no Convoy service at all—so please check availability in the Pet Parent Portal before booking.

Morning routes typically begin around 9:30 AM and return by 11 AM. Afternoon routes begin after 2 PM and may run as late as 5 PM based on arrivals, departures, and traffic.

Families are always welcome to drop off or pick up, but all arrivals and departures are by appointment. Because an unfamiliar arrival at the home changes the energy of the pack and requires careful safety planning, late or unplanned appointments may carry a fee. Special route requests are accommodated when possible.

The first visit

Let's make sure the vibe is right.

Meet & Greets generally take 2–4 hours. You will receive specific arrival instructions after registering; your part at the house is typically the first 10–15 minutes.

Request a Meet & Greet
  1. 1

    Register, then meet us

Complete your pet's Gingr profile, records, feeding details, photos, and anything we should know. A requested Meet & Greet is reviewed—not automatically confirmed—so we can coordinate the right crew.

  2. 2

    Initial evaluation

We chat, tour the home, and let your dog explore. If the introduction is going well, you slip out discreetly while we observe temperament, personality, and social style.

  3. 3

    Convoy & a personal plan

When appropriate, we introduce the van with a short drive and loading practice. Fully approved dogs ride home in the Convoy about two hours after arrival, and we review their report card and individualized onboarding plan.

Every pup is different

The warm-up phase

After a successful evaluation, your dog begins learning the House of Paws routine, rules, and relationships with the people and pups who keep the house running smoothly. Some dogs are fully onboarded in two weeks or less; others take 4–8 weeks. Their pace and plan are personal.

Payment & member perks

Simple, flexible ways to stay current.

Invoices are due within three days of service or the last calendar day of the month—whichever comes first. For Prepaid | Sleepover, the full estimated reservation total is due at booking. If the final total is lower, the difference becomes store credit toward future services. If it is higher, the remaining balance is payable at checkout by cash, Zelle, or Venmo.

Zelle and Venmo have no payment fee. Credit card, card-on-file, automatic payments, monthly billing, Play Date Packs, multi-pet savings, and frequent-guest discounts are available by inquiry.

Concierge Club is an invitation-only option for VIP guests, with highly incentivized pricing and priority access for last-minute, holiday, and busy-season needs. VIP status and additional rewards are earned through qualifying paid purchases.

Ready when they are

Apply for the crew.

We are currently auditioning a limited number of dogs for the 2026–2027 season. Tell us a little about your dog, their social style, and the care you need. We'll start with a Meet & Greet and take it from there.

What to bring

  • Current vaccination records
  • A little about your dog's routines and social style
  • Your questions—we want you to feel good about the fit too

Meet & Greets are by appointment. Current crew members can access their bookings, invoices, and pet information in the Pet Parent Portal.

Good to know

Questions parents ask.

Do you accept every dog?

No—and that is intentional. We only add dogs who are a good fit for the existing crew, home environment, and style of care.

Will my dog be in a kennel?

House of Paws is free-roam by default. We only kennel dogs when their family requests it or when it is appropriate for that dog's comfort and safety.

How do I book after we are approved?

Approved House of Paws families can reserve play dates and sleepovers through Gingr. We'll make sure you have everything you need after the introduction process.

A note from Steve

It's personal around here.

House of Paws is primarily me, my home, and the close-knit crew I care for. Outside of the pack, I'm also a mortgage broker and real-estate resource for people making big moves in Southwest Florida.

If homeownership, your next move, or a real-estate partnership is on your mind, I'm always happy to be a real person you can call.
